How Does Renting a Dumpster Work? A First-Timer's Guide

If you've never done this before, it feels like there must be more to it than there is. There really isn't. Here's the whole thing, start to finish, so you know exactly what to expect before you book.

The short version: Pick a size, book it, and we deliver — as soon as same day if you book by noon. Fill it, keeping the load level with the top. We text you the night before and the day of, with tracking. You don't need to be home for the drop-off or the pickup. On your scheduled day we come get it and haul it away. That's it.

Step 1: Pick a Size and Book

Tell us what you're working on and we'll match you to a size, or pick one yourself if you already know. You can book online in a few minutes or just call us. If you're not sure whether a 12 or a 15 is right, that's what we're here for, describe the project and we'll steer you.

Step 2: We Deliver It

Delivery can happen as soon as same day if you order by noon and we've got one open — otherwise it lands on whichever open day you pick during booking. Once your order is confirmed, your dumpster is locked in. We'll set it exactly where you asked, placed deliberately and set down gently so your driveway stays the way we found it (optional protective boards are available if you want extra peace of mind). You don't have to be home. We just need to know the spot and have a clear path to it.

Step 3: You'll Know When We're Coming

We can't promise an exact hour, and here's the honest reason: routing a whole day of stops in a sensible order is part of what keeps our prices reasonable. What we do instead is text you the evening before, and again on delivery day with live tracking, so you can see when we're getting close. Same goes for pickup.

Step 4: Fill It Up

Load it on your schedule. The only rule is to keep everything level with the top rail, no heaping over the sides, because an overloaded bin can't legally go down the road. Toss the heavy stuff in first and spread it out; and toss some loose junk down before any big flat pieces like drywall — flat on the bare floor they stick when the box tips out (not a rule, just appreciated). If you're not sure something's allowed, ask before it goes in.

Step 5: We Pick It Up

On your scheduled day, we come get it and haul it away, no need for you to be home. Finished early? Just text us and we'll try to grab it sooner. Need a little more time? Reach out as early as you can, because the bin is often booked for its next job, so an extension isn't always open, and the earlier you ask the better the odds.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does renting a dumpster work?

Pick a size, book it, we deliver (as soon as same day if you book by noon), you fill it keeping it level, and we come haul it away on your scheduled day. You don't need to be home for either.

How fast can I get one?

As soon as same day if you order by noon and one's available. Otherwise it's whichever open day you picked at booking — confirmed means locked in.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?

No. Just tell us where it goes and keep the path clear. We text you the night before and the day of, with tracking.

Can I pick an exact delivery time?

Not an exact hour, since efficient routing keeps prices down. But you'll get a text the evening before and live tracking on the day.

Ready when you are.

Tell us your project and we'll handle the rest, start to finish.
